FKMCD-Oxitec Mosquito Project Update: Tropical Storm Fred Precautions
FKMCD and Oxitec today announced that project operations will be temporarily paused as Tropical Storm Fred is predicted to pass through the Florida Keys. Mosquito release boxes and surveillance traps have been removed temporarily from the field. Project operations will resume shortly after the storm passes. As always, we will continue to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, their families, and the communities we serve. FKMCD and Oxitec will provide additional information if needed and we invite members of the public to check our website and social media accounts often for the latest updates.
